We’re looking for a Senior Azure Platform Support Engineer to lead advanced troubleshooting, ensure platform reliability, and support mission-critical cloud services hosted on Microsoft Azure. This is an expert-level, Tier 3 role focused on stability, performance, automation, networking, and identity management across the Azure ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Tier 3 escalation point for complex Azure incidents; perform deep-dive RCA and drive long-term fixes.
- Support and optimize Azure PaaS workloads (App Services, Functions, AKS, Azure SQL) including deployments, scaling, and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions).
- Manage and troubleshoot Azure networking & security: VNETs, NSGs, Firewalls, Load Balancers, App Gateway, Front Door, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute.
- Lead identity and access management using Azure AD/Entra ID, including Conditional Access, MFA, RBAC, and user sync.
- Build automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Python, and IaC tools like Terraform/Bicep.
- Maintain runbooks and documentation; mentor junior engineers and collaborate with product/engineering teams.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years technical experience, including 3+ years in advanced Azure platform support or engineering.
- Hands-on expertise across Azure IaaS & PaaS, networking, identity, and cloud security.
- Strong scripting & automation skills (PowerShell/Azure CLI/Python).
- Experience with Azure Monitor, App Insights, Log Analytics.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Understanding of ITIL or ITSM best practices.
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical field
- Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104), Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305), or Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700).
